Obituary for Rachel Guest
Rachel Marie Guest, 63, of Gaffney, South Carolina, peacefully went home to be with the Lord with her husband by her side on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 200 Elm Street, Gaffney, South Carolina with Preacher David Pryor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home, 211 E. Frederick Street, Gaffney, South Carolina.
Mrs. Guest was born on January 22, 1953, in Shelby, North Carolina to Leroy Bailey and Jessie Hawkins Bailey. She was loved by many. She was a tried and true strong woman of many trades. She was an enthusiastic DIY-er. She loved to sing, cook and create new dishes and arrange flowers. Even though she was a homebody, she enjoyed mini adventures with her family. Family meant everything to her. Not only did her love and compassion show through her friends and family, but through her fur babies as well. Animal lover from the beginning, Rachel leaves behind many animals. All that Rachel is has left an amazing impact forever.
Mrs. Guest is predeceased by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bailey; sisters, Pat and Maudie Parker and sister-in-law, Secret Ray. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Rusty Campbell; siblings, Charlie Across, Michael Bailey, Ricky Bailey, Ronnie Bailey and Elaine Bailey; God-daughter and God-son, Cheyenne Ray and Bobby Myers, as well as many, many nieces, nephews and friends.
