Mrs. Ruby B. Parker, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the Peachtree Centre in Gaffney, S.C..

Services to Celebrate Her Life will be held 12:00 pm, Wednesday, June 22,2016, in the Chapel at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Wayne Arrowood and Reverend Jimmy Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, and all other times at their respective homes.

Mrs. Parker was born October 30, 1934, in New Tazewell, TN. to Jack and Viola Mullins Smith. She was dedicated to her Lord and Savior, and diligent in her duties as a pastor’s wife. She enjoyed gospel music, reading her bible, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Rev. Jacob Parker, and her son, Keith Parker. Survivors include her children, Sandra Parker, Kenny Parker, and Kathy Lanier, and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
